Did you know La Leche League Great Britain has an online bookshop?
Have a browse. Proceeds from purchases help us to help mothers like you to breastfeed.
Our antenatal sessions continue online using Zoom. We offer this session on a weekday evening, from 8 to 9:30 pm. Our next sessions will be:
Tuesday 26th March*
Wednesday 17th April
Tuesday 21st May
Wednesday 19th June
*Please note this date has changed from what was previously advertised
Register online using the button below. We will email you a link to the meeting closer to the time.
If you would be interested in coming later in the year we will add your name to our waiting list and contact you when the next date is arranged. You can This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call Jayne at 07940 812964.
We will be looking at:
* how to get feeding off to a great start
* what to expect in the early days with your new baby
* where to find help and support
Our sessions are informal, friendly and free (though donations to LLL are always welcome). Pregnant women are invited to bring their partner, or someone else close to them who will be supporting them after the birth.
If you’ve been around at our meetings for a while (or plan to be!) then please consider supporting us by becoming a member of LLL Great Britain. It costs £30 per family per year (£18 for an unwaged family). The benefits to you include free use of our library, the bi-monthly members' publication Breastfeeding Matters and discounts at the LLLGB conference and other events.
Memberships are now rolling, which means they expire a year from when they are taken out rather than in April or October each year. You can now join online here. You can also join at any meeting (cash or cheques payable to "LLL Oxford" please), or send a payment to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You can print out the membership form and bring it to any meeting.
If you would rather make a donation to say thank you for help you've received you can donate online here.
We’d like to tell you a bit about why membership is important to us as your local LLL group. Most of the membership fee comes directly to the group. We rely on memberships to keep our group running: to hire meeting rooms, stock the library and provide information to those who contact us for breastfeeding help. We try to keep our admin costs as low as possible by emailing our programme to you, but we also need lots of hard copies for children’s centres and other public spaces; this is one of our main items of expenditure. It also costs money to train and equip new LLL Leaders, to expand what we can offer to mothers.
In addition to this, a portion of your membership fee goes towards running LLLGB's telephone help line and email help form services, and to develop and maintain our great library of breastfeeding information webpages & printed sheets, among other activities.

La Leche League Oxfordshire offers use of a lending library with many books on childbirth, breastfeeding, parenting and related topics. Use of the library is free to LLL members. For non-members we request a donation of £1/book. For more information about membership click here. There is normally a smaller satellite library at the North Oxfordshire meetings in Kings Sutton.
Or if you would rather keep your favourite books visit the LLL Great Britain Book Store, the proceeds of which help LLLGB support mothers like you.
The library is available at most baby and toddler meetings and you'll find the catalogue below. The library is very popular so if you're after a specific book or want an up-to-date library listing call 07940 812964 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
